Uptime Monitoring

Know that your website is down before your customers tell you. Siteload checks a page of your website on a schedule and emails you as soon as it stops responding as expected - and again when it is back online.

Free, no credit card required

How it works

  1. Create a free account - no credit card needed.
  2. Add your website and confirm that it is yours by uploading a small file we generate.
  3. Choose the page to check, the expected response (an HTTP status code or the exact text of the page) and the interval: from 10 minutes.
  4. Get an email when the check fails and another one when your website is back online, with the downtime duration.

What you get

  • Checks as often as every 10 minutes
  • Expected HTTP status code or the exact response text, e.g. of a health endpoint
  • Any page or endpoint of your website
  • Email alert when the website goes down - once, not on every check
  • "Back online" email with the downtime duration
  • Error log of the failed checks with the expected and the actual response

Frequently asked questions

How often is my website checked?

You choose the interval: every 10 minutes or longer, in 5-minute steps. The shorter the interval, the sooner you know about a problem.

Will I get an email on every failed check?

No. You get one email when the website starts failing and one when it works again, so a long outage doesn't flood your inbox.

My page redirects - will the check fail?

Redirects are not followed, so the check sees the redirect itself (e.g. 301). Either check the final URL of the page or set the expected status code to the redirect code. Our free redirect checker shows the final URL.

What is the difference between checking the status code and the response text?

The status code check passes when the page answers with the expected code, e.g. 200. The text check compares the whole response with the expected text - useful for a health endpoint that returns "OK" only when the database and other services work.
