Website Load Testing

Find out how many visitors your website can handle before it slows down or starts failing. Send thousands of requests at once, see the response time of every request and compare the results after each change to your code, cache or hosting.

Free, no credit card required

How it works

  1. Create a free account - no credit card needed.
  2. Add your website and confirm that it is yours: upload a small file we generate to its root folder.
  3. Choose the page, the number of requests (up to 20,000) and how many of them run at the same time (up to 1,000).
  4. Start the test and get the report: requests per second, failed and non-2xx responses, and a chart with the response time of every request.

What you get

  • Up to 20,000 requests and 1,000 concurrent connections per test
  • Requests per second, total test time and transferred data
  • Failed requests and non-2xx responses, so you see when the server starts returning errors
  • Response time chart of every request in the test
  • Test history: put several tests on one chart and compare them
  • Any page of your website, not only the home page

Frequently asked questions

What is website load testing?

A load test sends many requests to your website at the same time, the way real visitors do during a traffic spike. It shows how the response time changes under load and at what point the server starts returning errors, so you can fix the bottleneck before your visitors find it.

How many concurrent connections should I test with?

Start low (10-20) to get a baseline, then increase the concurrency step by step until the response time grows or errors appear. That point is the real capacity of your website. Compare it with your peak traffic: a sale, a newsletter or a campaign.

Why do I need to confirm that the website is mine?

A load test with hundreds of concurrent connections looks the same as an attack for the website that receives it. Ownership confirmation makes sure nobody can use Siteload against a website that is not theirs.

Will a load test slow down my live website?

Yes, while the test runs your real visitors share the server with the test requests. Run big tests at a quiet time or against a staging copy of the website, and increase the load step by step.

Is it really free?

Yes. Load tests, uptime monitoring and SSL certificate monitoring are free, and no credit card is needed.
